The Morris Miller Library on the Sandy Bay campus will be reopening as of 18 May and can be accessed only via booking.
The safety of staff and students is number one priority and use of the Library will be within COVID-19 guidelines.
Those using the Library are required to maintain the recommended 1.5m physical distance with a maximum of 10 students only allowed in the Library at any one time.
Bookings can be made for allocated spaces on Level 2 of the library, for 1- 4 hours per week to study, use a computer or collect resources, via this link: https://utas.libcal.com/booking/student
If a booking cannot be kept, students are encouraged to cancel online, to enable another person to use the Library.
If students wish to collect Library resources, they should bring a list of requested items with them as the collection is not open for browsing. Staff will then collect and provide students with the resources.
The Library is also providing hand sanitiser, undertaking temperature checks and carrying out additional cleaning.
Students are asked to please not come to the Library if they are feeling unwell.
All Library and Uconnect services are available online at: https://www.utas.edu.au/alerts/coronavirus-update/students
Morris Miller Library staff thank all students for their patience, as a staged return to campus and the reopening of our libraries is made.
Morris Miller Library opening hours are 8.30am – 6pm, Monday to Friday.
Updates will soon follow as to the opening arrangements for our other University libraries.
